How long does a project take?
Most residential projects run 3–9 months from first conversation to install. A design-only engagement is usually 6–12 weeks; a full turnkey renovation is longer. Timelines are set together during discovery.
How much does an ORIXO project cost?
Design-only engagements typically start from £3,500. Full projects with bespoke joinery and installation typically sit between £25,000 and £250,000+, depending on scope. We give indicative bands after the first conversation and firm figures after concept sign-off.
Where do you work?
We're based in Cheshire and work across the North West and Greater Manchester as a matter of course. Projects further afield across the UK — and occasionally internationally — are welcome; travel is arranged around each project.
Can I hire you for design only?
Yes. Many clients engage ORIXO for the design and drawings, then use their own trades to build. We hand over a complete, buildable design pack — layouts, elevations, joinery drawings, lighting plans and specifications.
Who actually makes the furniture and joinery?
ORIXO designs every piece in-house. Manufacture is delivered through a small, trusted network of specialist manufacturing partners — cabinetmakers, metalworkers, stone masons — chosen to suit the piece. Final finishing and quality control happens in the ORIXO studio.
How many revisions are included?
Each stage (concept, developed design, technical) includes a defined number of revisions — usually two full rounds plus minor adjustments. Anything beyond that is quoted transparently before we proceed.
What materials do you specify?
We favour honest, long-life materials: solid and veneered hardwoods, natural stone, brushed and patinated metals, painted MDF where appropriate, natural fabrics. We source with provenance in mind and share supplier detail on request.
How do you look after pieces after install?
Every commission is delivered with a care guide covering cleaning, oiling and everyday use. We offer optional aftercare visits for larger installs, and remain available for touch-ups, adjustments and future additions.
Do you offer a client portal?
Yes. Every client gets a private portal for moodboards, drawings, approvals and updates — one place for everything, throughout the project.
